Palm Beach County Schools To Reopen, Some Other Counties Stay Closed

The Palm Beach County School District will reopen schools on Friday.

Martin County schools will also reopen and all students will be eligible for free meals due to power outages that may exist in the community.

The St. Lucie County School District says it is looking forward to welcoming all students and staff back to school on Monday. After earlier saying that schools would be open tomorrow, they now say some schools are still without power.

Indian River and Okeechobee County schools will remain closed however.

The Indian River County School District Tweeted that due to power outages at several schools, they will remain closed tomorrow and look forward to welcoming students back on Monday.
