Are you into eggnog? They sell it in stores all through the year, but I feel like people only buy it around the holidays. Now there’s a brand new beverage, thanks to Hellmann’s. Yes, the mayonnaise people. (Brace yourself.)
They’ve teamed up with a company called Muddling Memories to create Mayo-Nog! Basically, it’s eggnog minus the eggs plus mayonnaise and...let’s call it “a secret sauce.” Three actually. Rum, apple brandy, and cognac!
If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, but you can’t find it anywhere, here's the recipe:
Frozen Mayo-Nog (makes 2 servings)
- 1/4 cup Hellmann’s Mayonnaise
- 3 ounces whole milk
- 3 ounces heavy cream
- 3 ounces simple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1½ ounces rum (preferably Ron Zacapa)
- 1½ ounces apple brandy (preferably Laird’s)
- 1½ ounces cognac (preferably Grand Marnier)
- 1 cup ice
Add all ingredients into a blender with ice and blend until smooth. Garnish with a dusting of cinnamon.
You might want to keep a bucket nearby. For BIGGER drinks, of course! Yeah...that's what I meant.
