Florida Man Arrested for Hitting Woman in the Face with a Slice of Pizza

Marion County, FL - A man was arrested on domestic violence charges after allegedly hitting a woman in the face with a slice of pizza during an argument.

39-year-old Ortelio Lazaro Alfonso is facing charges of domestic violence after he allegedly hit a woman in the face with a slice of pizza during an argument over disciplining someone in the house.

The incident occurred on March 17th when deputies received a 911 hang-up call and were dispatched to investigate a possible domestic disturbance.

Deputies spoke with Alfonso, who admitted to having a verbal altercation with the victim.

When deputies interviewed the victim, she claimed that Alfonso became angry after she disciplined someone in the house.

The victim informed deputies that Alfonso got in her face and pointed at her, but did not hit her, instead he grabbed a slice of pizza and slapped the victim on the left side of her face with it.

The victim had pizza sauce on her shirt and pizza remnants in her hair and ear area.

Deputies also noticed pizza sauce on the walls and ceiling of the interior of the residence.

Police arrested Alfonso for simple battery domestic violence and transported him to the Marion County Jail.

His bail was set at $1,000 and he was released the following day.
