Students Will Walk Out Today for National Day of Action for Palestine

Students across the country are staging Pro-Palestine walkouts today. They say it's “to call for an end to the US-backed siege on Gaza and U.S. military funding and arms to Israel.”

This national student day of action was called for by National Students for Justice in Palestine in collaboration with several other organizations.

Two chapters of SJP are being kicked off university campuses in Florida.

State university chancellor Ray Rodrigues says in a memo that "Students for Justice in Palestine" is actively supporting Hamas and "Al-Aqsa Flood."

That's the group's name for the invasion of Israel that started almost three weeks ago. The memo says the groups could reorganize if they disavow the national organization.

SJP has two chapters at the University of Florida in Gainesville and the University of South Florida in Tampa.
