A ruling is expected next week in the so-called 'Boy in the Box' case.

Timothy and Tracy Ferriter are charged with false imprisonment and child abuse for allegedly forcing their 14-year old adopted son to stay in a box they'd constructed in the garage of their home in Jupiter.

A judge on Thursday heard arguments on whether he will allow in trial records from Arizona, where the Ferriters lived before returning to Florida. Prosecutors want allegations of physical abuse to be included in their case against the couple. Defense attorneys say it isn't related.

The two will be tried separately.

Tim Ferriter's trial begins on September 29th. No date has been set for Tracy Ferriter's trial.
