If you drive a Jeep, be extra careful where you park. There's been an uptick in cases of items being stolen off of those vehicles in South Florida.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office responded to ten calls for 'theft of auto parts' at the Palm Beach International Airport parking garage during a four-day span last month.

In many of these cases, Jeeps are targeted for their headlights, bumpers and grills.

"Clearly they came prepared to do this and had a tool. I picture them at a NASCAR race zipping through this thing. I'm sure they finished in about five minutes."

Ed Cooper's Jeep was hit in the long term garage, which has no surveillance cameras except for at the entrance and exit.

He tells CBS 12 News that deputies claim there is a new crime ring stealing the parts.

It's just the latest vehicle crime to happen at the airport, which claims similar thefts are reported at other parking facilities.

PBIA also says 'enhanced security improvements are in progress.'
